Devil May Cry By Sherrilyn Kenyon

Devil May Cry (Dark-Hunter #13)

Genre: Paranormal Romance

For millennia, the ex-god turned Dark-Hunter Sin has sought to regain his powers and take revenge on Artemis. But now he has bigger fish - or in this case, demons - to fry. The lethal gallu that were buried by his pantheon are stirring, and they are hungry for human flesh. Their goal: To destroy mankind. Sin is the only one who can stop them... if a certain woman doesn t kill him first.
Enemies have always made strange bedfellows, but never more so than when the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Now a man who only knows betrayal must trust the one person most likely to hand him to the demons. Artemis may have stolen his godhood, but this one has stolen his heart. The only question is: Will she keep it... or feed it to those who want him dead?

Artemis is out to see Sin destroyed because he is out to kill her, she send Katra to do the deed. Unfortunately for Katra she bears a striking resemblance to Artemis herself because brace yourself, she’s Artemis’s daughter *gasp* but who is her father, well none other than Acheron! The father she has never known and doesn’t know she exists. Sin captures Katra, wanting vengeance and his powers back. When Artemis comes to get her daughter she is set on killing Sin, but Katra saves him. They pair up to help Sin find him brother. I loved when Ash finally got to meet his daughter:

“Have you had a good life?” he asked in a gentle tone.
The single question only made her cry harder as she nodded.”I only wanted for one thing”.
“And that was?”
Ash couldn’t breathe as his own tears fell from his eyes. It infuriated him. He didn’t cry. Ever.
Yet the thought of having missed do much of her life, the knowledge that he was a complete stranger to his own daughter, tore him apart”.

While fighting gallu demons Kat is bit and begins converting into one of them. Not wanting to have to kill her, Sin takes her to Apollymi, but she cannot heal her, so in desperation he takes her to Olympus to Ash. The Nick situation still haunts Acheron, for someone who had been treated so horribly in the past, he cares so much for others and the people in his life all excluding Artemis that is. I am so happy Ash found his daughter, it was the best part about this book.
